Chapter 2--Installation


System Requirements

You need to have System 7.1 or greater to use Terry Morse Myrmidon. It is compatible
with all Macintosh computers, except for the Macintosh Plus, SE, Classic and the
PowerBook 100. Terry Morse Myrmidon is fully PowerPC native for improved
performance on PowerMacs. Terry Morse Myrmidon does not support QuickDraw GX
printing, so you must disable the QuickDraw GX printing extension when using Terry
Morse Myrmidon.

Installation Instructions

Insert the Terry Morse Myrmidon installation disk and double click
the icon named Install Myrmidon.

Click the Install button to proceed with the installation. Click the Quit button when
installation is complete (it is not necessary to restart your computer before you can use
Terry Morse Myrmidon).

The installer places the following items on your hard disk:

The Terry Morse Myrmidon Chooser Extension and the
Myrmidon folder are placed in the Extensions folder inside
your System Folder. In order for Terry Morse Myrmidon to
work, these items must remain in the Extensions folder.

You are now ready to start turning documents into Web pages. The next chapter briefly
describes how to convert a document, and how to customize the way Terry Morse
Myrmidon performs its conversion.
